Work starts on £12.5m apartments scheme
Work has started on a £12.5m supported living development in Leicestershire.A ground-breaking ceremony has been staged at the site in Ashby-de-la-Zouch which will be transformed unto 65 apartments.Leicestershire-based social housing and care organisation emh is behind the Springfields project which has been funded by the group with a £1.25m contribution from North West Leicestershire District Council and £2.65m from Homes England.It is being by Willmott Dixon and see one and two bedroom flats created on the Burton Road site.The development will also include a private residents’ lounge and communal gardens, and a beauty salon and a bistro which will be open to the public.
