Green light expected for school sites transformation
Proposals for an extra care facility in Nuneaton and new homes on the site of a former secondary school have been tipped for the go-ahead.A total of 46 houses and 12 flats also form part of the scheme for land at Discovery Academy in Beaumont Road.The extra care facility would have up to 65 units if approval is granted by Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council’s planning committee at a meeting on Tuesday 1 October.Warwickshire County Council is behind the application.The extra care facility would be between two and three storeys.Part of the site is still occupied and runs as a school for children with special educational needs.
