Emerging plans for £15m solar farm
A solar farm capable of producing 25MW of electricity could be built on land near New Inn, Torfaen, if plans are progressed.A request for a screening and scoping opinion has been submitted to Torfaen County Borough Council by Wessex Solar Energy.The scheme, known as Newport Road Solar Park, will cover 12 fields used for pasture, and total 35 acres of space.Wessex Solar Energy is a renewable energy developer involved with the development of solar park projects in the UK.
