Permission for solar farm granted
Plans to build a solar farm on a former landfill site near Cwmbrân have been given unnanimous planning approval by Torfaen Couty Borough Council’s planning committee.The proposals for the 14.1-acre site, known as the T? Coch Tip, is on the southern edge of the town, and was used for landfill until 1983 and could power up to 1,000 homes.The site had been set aside for commercial development, but had not attracted substantial interest.
