Mixed-use development in Bournemouth to take a step closer

A mixed-use development proposed for Bournemouth, which features hundreds of homes, leisure space and offices is poised to take a step closer to reality, after a reserved matters application was recommended for approval.The plans for the former Winter Gardens site in the town have been submitted by Savills on behalf of Bournemouth Development Company.Included in the scheme are 352 apartments in a number of buildings of between three and 15 storeys.The plans also include up to 56,876 sq ft of leisure space, 13,000 sq ft of convenience retail space, 30,000 sq ft of space for bars and restaurants, and then 4,000 sq ft of space for offices. The project received outline approval in March 2019.Bournemouth, Christchurch and Portland Council’s planning committee meets on Thursday, 31st October.
