Plans in for Preston scheme
Plans for a residential scheme in Preston have been revealed.Countryside Properties is behind the application, with documents having been drawn up by Lichfields.Outline permission has already been granted, with reserved matters having now been submitted.A total of 68 homes are proposed, comprising a mix of one, two and three bedrooms. This would include 23 of shared occupancy and 45 of affordable rented.In the short term, the development of the site would result in on-site construction jobs and off-site jobs in construction-related industries. It would also provide training opportunities in the form of apprenticeships.In the longer-term, new residents would increase local expenditure, thereby boosting the economy.
