Countryside begins work on City Fields development
Developer Countryside has begun work on the construction of more than 160 homes at the City Fields scheme in Wakefield.The development of 164 homes represents the housebuilder’s first open market development in Yorkshire.Countryside has joined a consortium of developers on site at the 375-acre City Fields, which is expected to comprise 2,500 new homes as well as a wide range of retail outlets and local amenities when complete.The company will build 115 new homes for private sale as well as a further 49 properties for affordable housing at Nellie Spindler Way. Site preparations began this month with the first completions expected in June 2020.
