Muse clinches developer role on £650m Slough regeneration
Morgan Sindall’s urban regeneration division has secured the role of development manager for the £650m North West Quadrant scheme in Slough.The scheme forms part of a wider Slough Urban Renewal plan, an existing joint venture regeneration partnership between Slough Borough Council and Morgan Sindall’s investments division.Slough council bought former Thames Valley University land for the North West Quadrant town centre regeneration scheme.It is expected to provide 1,400 new homes across a range of tenures, more than 250,000 sq ft of commercial space, 200,000 sq ft of leisure, retail and cultural facilities.Masterplan proposals for the site will be developed over the coming months and public consultation is anticipated to take place towards the end of 2020.This development builds on the successful delivery of 15 leisure, education and housing projects in the last three years using SUR’s supply chain, which includes Morgan Sindall Group companies.
