In addition, Granite will be covering delivery and insurance costs, providing personnel for the safe installation and management of the unit, and associated training costs for University employees.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Granite Power were identified as a potential collaborator on the RICE project due to their expertise in the development of Heat to Electricity ‘Granex’ technology. Work Package 6 of the RICE Project is focussed on the trialling of heat to electricity technology in an industrial setting. This technology is highly specialised and for the purposes of RICE it was necessary to find a relatively small unit to trial, but 1 which was at a Technology Readiness Level suitable for installation at Tata Steel’s site in Port Talbot.
