Boots Island developer eyeing final go-ahead

The company behind plans to transform the 40-acre former Boots Island site in Nottingham have said it hopes formal planning permission will be granted in the coming weeks. Additional proposals for an entertainment and leisure venue are also being worked on.Outline plans for the site were approved by Nottingham City Council in April, with a section 106 agreement currently being worked on by the authority and The Conygar Investment Company.If approved, the final go-ahead will be granted for the scheme which will allow infrastructure works to start as well as construction of the project’s first phase.In a statement to the London Stock Exchange, the company added that the site could also include an entertainment and leisure venue on top of the previously announced new homes, grade A office space, market space, a five-star hotel, retail units, a linear park and community space and student accommodation.
