Work starts on former M&S building
Work has now started on Stockport’s former Marks & Spencer (M&S) building at Merseyway Shopping Centre.Austin Wilkinson Demolition (AWD) is now on site clearing and preparing the asset for the main works programme, which will be brought forward through 2020.The 80,551 sq ft building was acquired by Glenbrook earlier in October after M&S closed its doors in April 2018.Glenbrook – working with AEW and Incognito – is underway with finalising plans to transform the building into office, leisure and retail use under a distinctive new brand set to launch early next year.
