Green light for Somerset residential scheme
A reserved matters application for a residential development of 205 new homes near Wellington in Somerset has been approved.Pegasus Group provided planning and design services for the scheme, on behalf of Bovis Homes, which is located on a site that lies to the south western edge of the village of Rockwell Green.The package of planning obligations for the proposal has been secured through a unilateral undertaking. This includes the provision of 25 per cent of all dwellings as affordable housing tenure, which equates to 51 units. Of these, five will be built to fully wheelchair accessible standards.Other benefits agreed with Somerset West and Taunton Council include the implementation of a travel plan, the issue of green travel vouchers to new residents worth around £45,000 and the provision of bus stops on Exeter Road.
