380 Exeter homes plan given green light

Full planning permission has been granted for a 380-home development in Exeter.Nearly half (152) of these homes have been earmarked as affordable.Plans to repurpose Pinhoe Quarry for the development were first submitted in 2011.Social housing provider LiveWest and regeneration specialist Vistry Partnerships now have full permission to go ahead with the build.Work on the 32-acre site is due to start in March and it is hoped that the first homes will be ready for people to move in by December.The entire development is expected to take eight years to be completed.LiveWest purchased the land from Pinhoe Quarry Ltd three years ago.It has also recently been granted planning permission for a second site in the city comprising of 60 affordable homes off Ringswell Avenue.
