First brands revealed for £90m retail scheme

More than 20 brands have been confirmed for a new £90m outlet and leisure destination.Scotch Corner Designer Village, situated on the A1(M) in North Yorkshire, will comprise 250,000 sq ft scheme and feature up to 92 units in the first phase, ten of which will be a range of casual dining restaurants and cafés.The developer, Scotch Corner Richmond LLP, is investing £90m in the first phase of the scheme.The 23 brands that have exchanged contracts so far include BOSS for a 3,175 sq ft store; Calvin Klein for 2,500 sq ft; Tommy Hilfiger for 3,900 sq ft; Adidas for 10,225 sq ft; Levi’s for 2,900 sq ft, Skechers for 2,900 sq ft; GAP for 6,500 sq ft; Joules for 2,500 sq ft; Mint Velvet for 1,900 sq ft; Dune London for 1,300 sq ft; Clarks for 5,100 sq ft, Brook Taverner for 1,400 sq ft; Regatta for 1,550 sq ft and The Fragrance Shop for 645 sq ft. Additionally, Wagamama and Five Guys have both signed up to open 4,200 and 2,800 sq ft restaurants, respectively.Research by Ken Gunn Consulting, has suggested that the development will be a top six UK outlet centre by expected visitor spend once open.Enabling and infrastructure works have started on site, with the development set to open in 2021.The leasing agent for Scotch Corner Designer Village is SPACE – Retail Property Consultants, the asset manager is SLR Outlets and the architect is Corstorphine + Wright.
