New grade A office scheme proposed
Proposals have been lodged for the development of a new grade A office building in South Shields.The plans, which have been brought forward by Muse Developments, involve the construction of a two-storey building on Mile End Road, comprised of approximately 14,400 sq ft of office space.A staff car park will be provided to the west of the site and will house seven car parking spaces, including one wheelchair accessible space and infrastructure for two electric vehicle charging points. A covered cycle shelter with the capacity to store 12 bicycles will also be located within the area, which will be fenced off from the public. The 0.52-acre application site is currently used as an open air surface car park owned and operated by South Tyneside Council.
