Pipeline Framework: Expression of Interest for NHS Health Checks
A pipeline has been launched for Expression of Interest for NHS Health Checks. The contract start Date is 01 April 2020. Approach to market date is 23 March 2020.Southend-on-Sea Borough Council (SBC) is inviting expressions of interest for a NHS Health Checks Provider.SBC is seeking to commission a lead provider to deliver the national Health Checks programme across the borough. The Provider will be responsible for:implementing and monitoring the Health Check programme standards: A Framework for Quality Improvement (PHE 2014) and provide MONTHLY reports to the Commissioner as and when requiredensuring call/recall invitations are targeted to areas and populations of quantifiably higher need and/or inequalitysupporting, training and auditing staff in primary care to ensure the highest quality standards are adhered to and as outlined in NHS Health Check Programme: Best Practice Guidance (DH/PHE October 2013).making use of innovative methods, including social marketing approaches to attract a higher proportion of people who will benefit the most from attending their check.The Provider must be able to deliver the following requirements:1. Provide Health Check support and coordination to GP practices2. Access to SystmOne and the ability to view, update and upload patient data3. Ensure they are compliant with all national and local Information Governance requirements and if they engage subcontractors to provide any part of the invitation/data processing element of the contract any such subcontractors are also compliant4. Knowledge/ experience of working in Southend or a similar borough5. Staff availability to deliver required services including a local coordinator and trainers from the contract start date6. Deliver innovation for the Health Checks programme using a digital management system7. Commencement by 1st April 2020.The contract will commence on the 1st April 2020 and will run until 31st March 2021. There will be an option to extend for 14 months if required.Southend-on-Sea Borough Council welcomes expressions of interest from all organisational types, including the Third Sector.It is estimated that the contract value will be in the region of £90,000 per annum.If you can meet all of the requirements set out above and wish to express your interest, please e-mail kaseyburke@southend.gov.uk no later than midday on Monday 23rd March 2020 using the subject ‘EOI Health Checks’.Based on the level of interest we will consider running a full procurement process.This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
