Office to residential hostel conversion plan approved
Plans to repurpose and extend a former office in a Cardiff suburb to create a residential hostel for young people have been approved.Acting on behalf of applicant Hafod Housing, LRM Planning has secured permission to redevelop the housing association’s former office building in Trowbridge.The existing property will be extended by the addition of an extra floor which will comprise seven bedrooms, six of which will be for residents and the seventh is provided for staff use.The development will provide an element of care for young people and will be staffed 24/7 by carers to support the residents who require a space to be able to learn and develop skills for their first steps to independent living.Other professionals working on the plans include Pentan Architects and Treescene Arboricultural Consultants.
