Decision deadline extension on Manston Airport scheme
The deadline for a decision on plans to relaunch Manston Airport in Kent has been extended.Plans for the scheme were initially lodged by RiverOak Strategic Partners Ltd in July 2018, with the hope to create a “global freight hub” in Manston.The Secretary of State for Transport has now granted a second deadline extension.The department received the examining authority’s report on 18 October 2019 and the current deadline – which includes a four month extension – was 18 May 2020.It has now been pushed back further, with a 10 July deadline.
