Construction on £17.4m leisure centre to start
Construction work is set to start on the new Dudley Leisure Centre site.Initial enabling work began in January and has continued throughout the pandemic following adherence to government guidelines on social distancing.Work on the next phase of the facility is set to start at the end of the month.The £17.4m project is being funded by Dudley Council and delivered by Alliance Leisure.It will include a 25 metre, eight-lane swimming pool and a teaching pool with spectator provision. There will be a four-court sports hall suitable for indoor football and badminton.The investment will also include a 100 station gym and fitness suite, two group exercise studios for a wide range of exercise classes and an immersive cycle studio.
