The plans also feature a gym and carpark. The JV, known as Commercial Park Group, is a partnership between McAlpine and property developer John Baker. The group has already gained planning permission for two other office developments situated near Gatwick Airport: one at Gatwick Park in Crawley, and another at Haywards Park in Haywards Heath. Along with Bromley Park, the JV has an office development pipeline of over two million square feet.Commercial Park Group chairman John Baker said Bromley is a prime destination for major companies to base their headquarters as it has a growing professional workforce, “but there is no office space”. Yesterday, Construction News reported Sir Robert McAlpine and British Land’s £240m mixed-use scheme at 100 Liverpool Street would be delayed until the end of the year due to COVID-19.
