DWP established a ‘GovCo’, BPDTS Limited, that provides digital services to the department. Currently, there are approximately 400 employees at the company, with an anticipated increase to approximately 1150 September by 2018.
DWP are looking to procure Group Life Assurance and Group Income Protection (also known as Income Protection and Long Term Disability Allowance) on behalf of and for the employees of, BPDTS Ltd.
The requirement is as follows:
1) Life Assurance – To ensure BPDTS Ltd employees are insured for 4 x Salary in the event of death. This reflects life cover normally covered by Civil Servants pension arrangements.
2) Income Protection – To provide income protection for a maximum of 5 years at 67 % of salary, if unable to return to work following deferred weeks of illness related absence (subject to individual employee terms and conditions).
This contract will be let for 3 years.
