Construction to start on speculative industrial development
Construction work is set to start at the end of June on a new speculative industrial development in Bradford.Elland-based Commercial Development Projects, and its contracting division Marshall Construction (West Yorkshire) Limited, are due to start speculatively building two warehouse units at Thornbury Industrial Park, a 25-acre development on Woodhall Road, off Gain Lane, to the east of Bradford city centre.The self-contained units will measure 42,200 sq ft and 33,200 sq ft, and are due for completion in early 2021. A new access road connecting to Gain Lane has already been completed.The remainder of the site will be able to accommodate individual units up to 120,000 sq ft in size on a build-to-suit basis. The site also benefits from Enterprise Zone status, providing occupiers with incentives including reduced business rates for a period of time.Property consultancies JLL and Carter Towler have been appointed as joint marketing agents.
