Landmark Leicester building tipped for demolition
A 22-storey tower block in Leicester could be knocked down, according to newly submitted plans.Goscote House in Sparkenhoe Street has been earmarked for demolition.Leicester City Council is expected to make a final decision on the application in the coming months.Goscote House was completed in 1973 and includes more than 130 apartments.Leicester City Council Housing is behind the latest bid.If approved by the authority’s planning department, work would start in October and work be completed by April 2022.
