Description: Following the ISCF Industrial Decarbonisation Research and Innovation Centre- Champion call which identified a leader for the research components of this challenge, we now invite one full proposal from the Champion to fund a multidisciplinary research and innovation programme, which currently does not exist at the scale.This Centre is required to accelerate the decarbonisation of industrial clusters in the Specified Location. It will seek to reduce costs, risks, timescales and emissions, by bringing together established and new technology-based areas as well as considering economic and policy implications. The virtual Research and Innovation Centre will provide evidence to policy makers beyond just this challenge, supporting the broader Government mission on Industrial Decarbonisation. It will stimulate cross learning between clusters and provide a strong evidence base allowing them to make informed decisions about future decarbonisation options, policies and institutional reforms. The Centre will also seek to address the challenges faced by those clusters both through its research and policy development functions, including analysis of potential institutional reforms.5.
