Green light for 200-home development
Planning permission has been secured for 200 new homes of part of the latest phase of development at a site north of Newcastle.Taylor Wimpey North East has been granted planning permission for the third phase of development at Kenton Bank Foot.Located in Kingston Park, north of Newcastle, the latest development will comprise two- to four-bedroom family homes, up to 40 affordable housing assisted living apartments as well as new roads to improve access around the scheme.As part of its permission, Taylor Wimpey will invest more than £2m in improving infrastructure and community facilities in the area. The financial contributions include an estimated value of more than £75,000 towards health services, £100,000 for highway improvements, and more than £1m towards the provision of education.Construction work on the development is expected to start in August with a sales outlet opening in December.
