An application to knock down a Milton Keynes office building to make way for a residential development with more than 300 units has been given the thumbs up by planners.Cannon Capital Developments Ltd has earmarked Bowback House on Silbury Boulevard for the scheme. The proposed 14-storey residential tower would feature 306 flats, two commercial units, associated amenity space and car parking.Roof terraces were also proposed for the fifth and ninth floors, as well as communal space at the 13th floor. The scheme was recommended for refusal ahead of a Milton Keynes Council planning meeting on 2 July 2020 due to the potential loss of employment floorspace in central Milton Keynes. However, the recommendation was overturned and the scheme was given the green light subject to conditions.
