Green light for Cardiff tower plans
Updated plans for a 27-storey tower in Cardiif have been approvedUrban Centric (Cardiff) has secured permission for the demolition of the existing two-storey buildings at Crawshay Court, Curran Road, Butetown, to make way for the construction of a 27-storey apartment building within 200 metres of Central Station and the Transport Interchange.Incorporating 188 apartments the development would also feature vehicle and cycle parking, cafe and retail space at ground and first floor, a residents’ gym, and two residents’ roof gardens at the 14th and 26th floors.The application has been approved subject to the signing of a section 106 agreement.Permission was granted in August 2019 for demolition of existing buildings and construction of 25-storey apartment building.
