Somerset scheme set for summer start
Plans for 90 new homes in Somerset, being brought forward by Vistry Partnerships and Magna Housing, have taken a step forward,Full planning permission has now been granted for Orchard Brooks and Vistry said that by working with Magna Housing and Homes England the affordable housing provision for the scheme had been increased above planning requirements.Vistry Partnerships will build the 90 homes as a mixed tenure scheme, including 26 homes available for social rent and another 34 homes for shared ownership.The remaining 30 homes will be sold on the open market under the Linden Homes brand.Work is due to begin this summer, with the first homes complete and ready for occupation in spring next year.Magna Housing will manage all affordable homes on the new development and will sell homes through their shared ownership offering.
