New homes proposed for West Sussex village
A site has been earmarked in a West Sussex village for the development of more than 40 new homes.Sunley Estates is seeking the go-ahead from Chichester District Council to construct 41 new homes on land at the former Lowlands Nursery in North Mundham.It is intended that 29 of the units would be for open market, while the other would be for affordable housing.Measuring approximately 5.1 acres, the application site is located in the west of North Mundham village, approximately two miles south of Chichester.The land is a former plant nursery which is now abandoned, although the nursery structures remain.A statement filed with the council on behalf of the applicant said: “The scheme will provide a high-quality residential environment delivering a range of dwelling types and sizes and would be an attractive extension to the settlement of North Mundham.”
