Vinci replaces Galliford Try on £26m cancer centre
Vinci has been appointed to build a new £26m cancer centre at Macclesfield District Hospital.Demolition work to clear the site for the new Christie at Macclesfield cancer centre has been completed by Galliford Try who started work in February and were also lined-up as main contractorVinci is one of the partners in Integrated Health Projects who are also the lead contractor for The Christie’s new £150m cancer research centre in ManchesterThe Macclesfiield centre was initially aiming for completion in Autumn 2021 but the impact of Covid-19 means the opening date has been moved back until the end of next year.
