Reading housing scheme set for green light
Plans to knock down a number of garages in Reading to make way for a residential development look set to get the go-ahead.The site on Wensley Road has been earmarked for the scheme by Reading Borough Council.Under the plans, 29 garages would be demolished and 46 dwellings would be erected in their place.The properties would comprise a mix of housing and apartments with one, two, three and four bedrooms in blocks rising up to four storeys.The application is set to go before the local authority’s planning committee next week (12 August 2020) with a recommendation for approval.
