Description: The Awarding Authority are now seeking a call for new capital projects to inform a pipeline of future investment propositions should funding become available, that can support our ambition set out in the emerging Local Industrial Strategy (LIS) and will aid the recovery effort to the economy from Covid 19.Like all LEPs, D2N2 is responsible for delivering the Local Growth Fund (LGF) which is worth over £250 million in the region, alongside delivering the new £44.4m Getting Building Fund (GBF) allocation from Government. We are approaching the last six months of the Local Growth Fund programme and have already invested in many projects across the region which have supported job creation, support for new learners and unlocked infrastructure to delivery of new homes. To date we have invested in a wide variety of projects such as:The £24m Institute of Advanced Manufacturing facility which delivers new research space at the University of Nottingham’s Jubilee CampusThe Seymour Link Road which enables the delivery of new commercial floorspace within the Markham Vale Enterprise Zone site was granted £2.5m of Local Growth Funding from the D2N2 LEPAda Lovelace House, £143,000 of funding from D2N2 to enable the creation of new incubator office space in Kirkby in Ashfield£3.48m of Local Growth Funding to the University of Derby’s Chesterfield Higher Level Skills Centre which provides courses in healthcare alongside small business spaceThe current LGF and GBF programmes are already fully committed with projects progressing towards delivery. However, given the inherent complexities of delivering large capital projects, there is always a risk that some of these projects may not come through in time to deliver within the lifetime of the current programme and achieve the associated output targets. Therefore, we are now seeking capital projects to form a reserve list of projects that are at an advanced stage of development. Alongside the list of projects to act as reserves to the two allocated pots, we are also looking to build a strong list of pipeline projects that we could present to any new funding allocations at any given time. Please note that these projects will ONLY be progressed if funding becomes available.5. CPV Code(s): 79412000, 79421000, 790000006. NUTS code(s): UKF, UKF1, UKF147.
