Work set to start on former social club apartment scheme
Weaver Vale Housing Trust is set to start work on the development of more than 40 apartments on the site of a former social club in Warrington.The development of 41 new homes will take shape on the site of the former Richmond Social Club, which closed its doors in 2019.Developer Lane End Group will build the three-storey apartment complex on Richmond Street, a mainly residential area close to Warrington town centre.Gareth Rigby, director of property at Weaver Vale, said: Weaver Vale Housing Trust is dedicated to addressing housing shortages by providing safe, affordable homes for all throughout Cheshire.Lane End’s social enterprise New Beginnings and Weaver Vale will also launch a recruitment drive to give job opportunities to people in the local area.
