Consultation to be held on 100-home plans
Plans for a new development of up to 100 homes in Barnard Castle are set to go out for public consultation next month.Banks Property is considering an application for a residential development on a 13.3-acre site to the north of the A67 Darlington Road, about a mile to the north east of Barnard Castle town centre. The site is located alongside the existing Castle Vale development and has access to existing transport routes. The project would also include new landscaping and enhancement of wildlife habitats around the site, which is currently agricultural land, and electric vehicle charging points installed in all homes.Banks Property has provisionally scheduled three socially-distanced public consultation events at the TCR Hub on Shaw Lane in Barnard Castle on 8, 15 and 18 September 2020.
