Short description of the contract or purchase(s):: Thames Water (TW) is looking to award the agreement for provision of employee relations advisory service to TW managers. It is anticipated that the service will incorporate a telephone advice line for all managers as well as on-line platform for case management, reporting etc. The advice needs to be pragmatic, fully compliant with the relevant legislation and TW’s processes and procedures as well as taking into account the relevant commercial considerations. TW has c 4 800 employees and during the last year approx 880 employee relations cases were handled by our HR advisors.
The appointed supplier, will be seen as an extension of TW’s department and therefore we are looking for a supplier who can offer a collaborative approach as well as in depth knowledge and experience of all supplier relations issues, understanding of TW’s culture, vision and values. The supplier will be expected to adopt a coaching and supportive approach to our managers at all times. The technology platform which will underpin the services needs to be robust, flexible and easy to use.
The principle of ‘Right Shoring’ our services is key to optimum user satisfaction and we want to ensure the best location is chosen for this service. One of our key principles for this service is around tone/voice affinity, with preference towards English as first language – we are looking for a supplier with this capability.
