Depot equipment is needed for a new regional line.
The new line is expected to serve about 60,000 passengers in the western part of Singapore with some key organisations moving from the central business district to the western side of Singapore.
This new line will have 26 stations and the 1st phase is expected to commence in 2026. This regional line will be fully elevated .
