Accor signs for flagship Novotel hotel in new city centre development
Hospitality group Accor has signed a deal for a new 221-room Novotel hotel in Paddington Village, Liverpool.The new-build flagship hotel has been signed under a franchise agreement with Liverpool City Council and is set to be completed in the second quarter of 2022.It will be managed by Legacy Hotels & Resorts, an existing Accor partner and the management company for Accor’s Pullman Liverpool located on the waterfront by the Arena and Convention Centre.Situated in a prime central location, the Novotel hotel will be part of Paddington Village, a £1bn expansion site in the city’s Knowledge Quarter.The development is central to the local authority’s vision to cement the area as an international destination of significance for the life-science, healthcare and technology industries.The elegant Novotel 16-storey tower will become the highest hotel in Liverpool, located opposite the new Royal Liverpool Hospital.Novotel Paddington Village will offer access to state-of-the-art workplaces, shops and restaurants and social venues.The new hotel will be a UK flagship with stunning design features in both public spaces and bedrooms.The architecture design is led by Ryder Architecture and the hotel’s public areas have been designed by Koncept, an interior design company with a wealth of experience in hotel design, with Faithful+Gould appointed as project managers and Morgan Sindall Construction as contractor.Novotel Paddington Village will be the second Novotel property in Liverpool. The Novotel brand is present in the heart of major international cities, business districts and tourist destinations.
