Radway Green Development set to advance

Plans to build more than 200,000 sq ft of space at the Radway Green development look set to advance despite coming up against opposition.Outline approval for the proposals was granted earlier this year on the back of an appeal after initially being turned down.Now, an application for reserved matters is set to go before Cheshire East Council’s planning committee.Proposed is bringing forward the 207,000 sq ft scheme in more detail.The development would comprise five units round an internal access road, built to the north of the existing watercourse.However, Alsager Town Council has objected to the application, while 17 such letters have also been received from locals. United Utilities has also raised concerns.Radway Green is a mixed-use development comprising office, industrial, and research and development workspace in 30 acres of rural grounds.Although well-established, the park has recently been further developed with new investment into existing buildings and the construction of new purpose-built sites.
