Burnley hospital redevelopment plans submitted
A project to transform a derelict Burnley hospital land into apartments has been revealed.The first phase of the development would comprise 90 extra-care apartments for local people over-55 with extra support needs.Lancashire County Council and Calico are working together to develop proposals around the support. East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust and Burnley Council are supporting the development.A second phase could also build more housing units for other client groups with specialist needs.Plans will be formally submitted to Burnley Borough Council in the new year.
