Approval for Gateshead office scheme
Approval has been secured for a new office development aiming to provide new flexible commercial space in Gateshead.Brought forward by Adderstone Group, the plans involve the construction of a single-storey building measuring approximately 5,600 sq ft at Bottle Bank. The application site is located on the raised piazza of the Curzon Place residential development and adjacent to the Tyne Bridge.There will be a lobbied entrance to the lower level meeting room and reception area with additional office space at car park level, with level one providing open plan office accommodation, with individual offices and conference/meeting room facilities.An enclosed outdoor space is to be provided on the piazza for the use of the occupants, with a separate refuse and cycle storage area. A roof terrace is also included.The applicant has said that the scheme is designed to allow for some flexibility of letting, with all the ancillary accommodation duplicated on both floors and a lift provided.The scheme has received the go-ahead, subject to conditions.
