Developer signs up at 400-acre scheme

A developer has been signed up to build a further 190 homes at a 400-acre mixed-use development in Burton-upon-Trent.Nurton Developments (Quintus) has signed up Lovell Partnerships at the Branston Locks scheme.The developer set to join Cameron Homes and Taylor Wimpey, who have already built 100 homes at the scheme with a further 160 planned.When complete, Branston Locks is set to comprise 2,500 homes alongside one million sq ft of commercial space, creating up to 3,000 jobs.An initial £8m investment in infrastructure, supported by a Strategic Infrastructure Award, has already unlocked the development of a new free secondary school, which is aiming to open towards the end of 2021.Nurton Developments (Quintus) Ltd is a JV between Birmingham-based Nurton Developments and a private investor.
