1. Title: HATE CRIME AWARENESS WEEK 2021 GRANTS PROGRAMME2. Awarding Authority: Manchester’s Local Voluntary & Community Sector Support Organisation, GB Email: oliver@macc.org.uk.3. Contract type: Service contract4. Description: Aims/priorities: Hate crime is significantly under-reported. Even in difficult times, continued efforts by local groups and organisations are needed to raise awareness of and challenge hate crime in our communities and to help instil confidence in victims by highlighting how and where hate crime incidents can be reported. In previous grants rounds, a majority of funded projects have been public events. However, Covid-19 has had a huge impact in every community in Manchester and across all areas of our lives, making the delivery of effective Hate Crime Awareness activities more complex. Project proposals submitted to this programme must fit with the government’s coronavirus social-distancing measures and include careful consideration of the safety both of those delivering the activity and its intended audience. We will support eligible activities that are a one-off or that may take place over several days during Hate Crime Awareness Week 2021 which is between 1 and 7 February.
