In spite of our strong heritage, before the pandemic we recognised that we needed to revisit, challenge and evolve our vision in the light of several drivers. The retail landscape is rapidly changing. Our beautiful historic building is not fully accessible. We know that we need to broaden the diversity of both our organisation and participants in the cultural opportunities that we offer to truly serve our communities. And we must become more environmentally sustainable, and play our part in responding to the climate crisis.As part of the process of developing our business plan for 2022-25, we want to revisit our vision and objectives. Our own drivers for change are paralleled by the need to demonstrate how we will apply the four Investment Principles from Arts Council England’s new ten-year strategy Let’s Create.
