Plans approved for Ebrington complex building
Proposals to transform the former jail and guardhouse on Derry/Londonderry’s Ebrington complex into office space have been approved.Building 10a on Ebrington Square is a two-storey Georgian-style property, originally designed to surround the parade ground at Ebrington Barracks.The wider site contains a number of grade B2 listed buildings. The building’s conversion was given the green light by Derry City and Strabane District Council’s planning committee last week (6 January 2021).In 2016, an application to use the land at Ebrington Barracks to include a mixture of creative industries and culture, education/research, museum and heritage, hotel and leisure, commercial office space, residential, cafes and restaurants/bars and associated car parking and infrastructure was approved.HR Team Ltd and Catalyst INC are behind the plans for building 10a.
