Committee set to back £130m Manchester development
A pair of Manchester offices could soon move forward if the £130m scheme secures approval next week.Commercial Development Projects is behind the application, which concerns a plot on City Road East.Proposed are 11-storey and 14-storey office buildings, as well as 519 cycle spaces.Construction costs would amount to £130m, supporting 1,222 construction roles. Once operational, it would accommodate almost 3,000 jobs.The site is in the First Street Development Framework (FSDF) area, which has been transformed into a mixed-use location comprising large-scale office, cultural and leisure schemes, as well as public realm.Approval has been recommended.
