We can award grants to freelance Artists. We can distribute grants of between £500–£4000 directly to freelance artists/creative practitioners, across all participatory art-forms, to deliver artist-led youth arts activities. By artist led, we mean artists take the key lead in the design and delivery of collaborative projects. Organisations may not apply but can contribute in-kind support to the project.The Youth Arts Small Grants fund will support freelance artists to continue to deliver high-quality, much-needed participatory arts activity with young people to ensure that some of the most disadvantaged young people in Scotland access and participate in creative opportunities at a time when these are being halted or reduced. We want to continue to support freelance youth arts practitioners to develop their networks and practice, while being appropriately remunerated.Action for Children – We raise awareness, identify and provide direct support to children and young people who look after or help to look after someone in their family who is unwell or disabled, including children caring for parents who have mental health or substance misuse problems.We are looking for a comic book illustrator to lead a workshop with our young people supporting them to create their own comics and learn new skills in illustration, inking, and design.We are looking for 22 x 1 hour sessionsProjects should take place sometime between June 2021 and February 2022.
