We can award grants to freelance Artists. We can distribute grants of between £500–£4000 directly to freelance artists/creative practitioners, across all participatory art-forms, to deliver artist-led youth arts activities. By artist led, we mean artists take the key lead in the design and delivery of collaborative projects. Organisations may not apply but can contribute in-kind support to the project.The Youth Arts Small Grants fund will support freelance artists to continue to deliver high-quality, much-needed participatory arts activity with young people to ensure that some of the most disadvantaged young people in Scotland access and participate in creative opportunities at a time when these are being halted or reduced. We want to continue to support freelance youth arts practitioners to develop their networks and practice, while being appropriately remunerated.We make sure we include everyone and encourage parents to participate. We see the best results for children when more individuals pull together, putting their energies, skills and time into a child’s development and well-being.We are looking for a multidisciplinary artist to take the lead in a workshop encouraging our service users (and potentially families) to get involved.This workshop will be run over 12 weeks. Half a day each week.Projects should take place sometime between June 2021 and February 2022.
