Abri Secures Land for Southville Scheme
Abri has acquired land at The Old Brewery in Southville to build 107 affordable homes and seven commercial units. Abri will be working with Change Real Estate to bring forward the development.The Old Brewery will incorporate 98 homes for shared ownership, along with nine for social rent – thanks to grant funding from Homes England.Abri expects to start on site in May 2021. The build will mix old with new, refurbishing parts of the existing structures to create homes, shops, and offices and completion is targeted for 2023.As part of this scheme, Abri is also investing in zero combustible materials, fire detection and alarm systems in every home. The apartments will also have a central plant room that can connect to Bristol City Council’s District Heat Network when it reaches Southville.
