A defence authority has issued a tender for a pair of complete set of UHF link digital repeater stations.
The UHF link digital repeater station must have a:
frequency coverage of UHF 400 to 470 MHz
maximum 32 channels or more
full duplex DV mode
frequency stability of ± 0.5 ppm or better
antenna impedance of 50 Ω
directional/omni directional 12 dB gain antenna
half inch dia low loss foam helix cable with necessary or equivalent
operating temperature range of – 10º c to + 60º c or better
power supply voltage of 13 to 24 volts
hand microphone fitted with the transceiver
audio output power of 4 watt at 5% distortion 4 ohms load
battery backup for repeater
Transmitter should have:
100 watt with programmable power output
maximum frequency deviation of ± 5.0 khz/± 2.5 khz (wide/narrow)
Receiver should have:
sensitivity: 0.25 µV
adjacent channel selectivity of 68dB (digital narrow band)
FM threshold 0.25µV (or better)
a multiple coded squelch capability
