Approval for 500 Homes as Part of Hull Regeneration Scheme

Approval has been granted for up to 500 homes in the latest phase of a major Hull regeneration scheme.So far in Hull City Council’s Preston Road regeneration programme 512 properties have been acquired, 340 homes refurbished and more than 700 new homes built.In the final phase of the project, up to 500 new mixed-tenure homes will be built, together with new infrastructure and landscaping. The development will include a range of homes for sale, rent and new council housing. It is also expected to create new jobs, training and apprenticeship opportunities.The council, in partnership with its strategic development partner KSHP, a consortium of developers that includes Keepmoat Homes, Strata Homes, Home Group and Priority Space, will develop the mixed tenure scheme.The scheme has been supported by £4m from the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership’s (LEP) allocation of the Local Growth Fund, part of the government’s commitment to the Northern Powerhouse.Under the approved planning permission, Strata will build 242 homes as part of the first phase at Preston Road. A mix of three- and four-bed homes will be available for sale, as well as affordable homes to rent.
